Ford Increases Sales by 10%

Its still the beginning of a new year, and its shaping up to be a very good year for Ford, with sales numbers increasing my almost 10%. The official estimate comes in at a 7.4% increase in private vehicle sales for January, 2012. What might be more impressive however, is the phenomenal 60% sales hike on the all new Ford Focus

In January alone, Ford sold 136,710 vehicles worldwide, which would be 9,393 more than the previous year. If you're wondering what kind of percentage increase from 2011 that would be, the number you're looking for is 8.3%.

Available at Koons Ford in Annapolis, MD, the Focus boasts a sleek new design, and provides a touch of luxury at a reasonable price. Options like MyTouch, which integrates entertainment, navigation, and other phone or voice operated features, tops the list of must have extras.

This sales increase for Ford is actually a continuation from 2011 when there was a "record fourth-quarter profit on a one-time tax allowance."1

Other models like F-150 were behind the jump truck sales numbers for the American automaker, thanks in part to the attitude-filled new ad campaign starring comedian and actor Dennis Leary. In the smaller division, the Ford Ranger also inched up, going out strong, since it will be the last model year. Who knows, they may be priceless some day.
