Ford didn't have to update the Bronco for 2026. The current model was selling well, and a more significant refresh closer to 2027 would have made sense. But Ford surprised everyone with a meaningful mid-year update — and if you've been waiting for the right moment to get into a Bronco, this might be it.

Here's everything you need to know about what changed, what's new, and what it means for buyers in the Annapolis area.

The Big News: Wildtrak Is Back

After being discontinued following the 2024 model year, the Wildtrak name returns to the Bronco lineup for 2026 — this time as an option package rather than a standalone trim. It's available exclusively on the four-door Bronco Badlands, and it bundles everything serious off-road buyers want into a single, straightforward selection.

The Wildtrak package includes:

  • 2.7-liter twin-turbo EcoBoost V6 — 330 horsepower and 415 lb-ft of torque, paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission
  • Sasquatch Package — 35-inch Goodyear off-road tires, locking front and rear differentials, lifted suspension, and a shorter final-drive ratio
  • HOSS 3.0 Suspension — Ford's High-Performance Off-Road Stability System with Fox internal bypass dampers
  • Black Appearance Package — black grille with white Bronco lettering, black mirrors, door handles, and a Shadow Black hardtop

Package price: $11,945 on top of the four-door Badlands, bringing the total to approximately $62,830 before destination.

To put that in perspective — buying those same components individually would cost more and require navigating a long option list. The Wildtrak makes it one click. Less guesswork, more capability.

What Else Is New for 2026

Beyond the Wildtrak, Ford made several other updates worth knowing about:

Orange Fury Metallic Tri-Coat — borrowed from the Mustang lineup, this vibrant new color is coming as a late-availability option on the 2026 Bronco. Eye-catching doesn't begin to cover it.

Painted Roof Combinations — Outer Banks and Raptor buyers can now mix and match body and roof colors. Available roof colors include Avalanche Gray, Marsh Gray, Ruby Red, Velocity Blue, Desert Sand, and Orange Fury. Ford has built some guardrails — certain combinations aren't available — but the personalization options are significantly expanded.

SecuriCode Keyless Entry Returns — dropped after 2024, the keypad is back. For off-road adventures where you want to leave your keys secured in the vehicle, this is one of those features you don't realize you need until you do.

onX Navigation — One Year Free — Ford has partnered with onX, a leading outdoor navigation platform, to give owners of 2017 and newer Ford vehicles one year of free access. That means 650,000+ miles of mapped off-road trails, difficulty ratings, and outdoor recreation resources built right into your workflow.

Bronco Off-Roadeo — buyers of 2024 and newer Broncos are eligible to attend Ford's hands-on off-road driving program, held at dedicated facilities in Utah, New Hampshire, Nevada, Tennessee, and Texas. If you've never experienced what a Bronco can actually do off-road, this is worth the trip.

Where the Wildtrak Fits in the Lineup

The Wildtrak package sits cleanly between the Badlands and the Raptor — both in capability and in price. You get most of the hardware that serious off-road buyers spec anyway, without stepping into the Raptor's more extreme performance territory (or its considerably higher price tag).

For buyers who want genuine trail capability, an aggressive blacked-out look, and a truck that works just as well on the Annapolis commute as it does on a weekend trail — the Badlands with the Wildtrak package is now the sweet spot of the lineup.

All 2026 updates apply to Broncos assembled on or after March 23, 2026.

Why Tire Pressure Matters as Temperatures Drop

Underinflated tires reduce fuel efficiency, wear unevenly, and increase the chance of blowouts or poor traction, especially on wet fall roads. Right pressure = safety & savings. Properly inflated tires improve handling, braking distance, and extend the life of your tires.

Checking your pressure takes just a few minutes. Use a simple tire gauge, or swing by our service drive we'll gladly check them for you.
